Wilson Yazzie, Jr. was born to Bessie Smith Yazzie and Wilson Yazzie on August 7,1955. He went to school in Holbrook Boarding School from K-12 from then on he enlisted in the United States Army served 4 years. He was a parachute rigger. During this time he jump out of planes 50 + times. He left with an Honorable Discharge. After leaving the army, he trained to be a carpenter. Which was his trade. In his first marriage he had 5 children 3 daughter's Tina,Lisa and Carrie. 2 sons Eric and Garrett. He then met his wife, Rhonda Nash Yazzie with whom he spent his life with they had 4 daughter's. The late Lesley D. Nosie whom expired 4/12, Shalmarie,Shanowaa, and Derilyn. 4 sons Darrell,Cedric, Micheal and Silas-John. In total 13 children. He has worked with various companies. Palo Verde, Navajo Power Plant - at Atkinson Const. Co. And many more. At the time of his passing he was working for San Carlos Housing for several years.He was the maintenance tech 1. While working at Housing he made several friends. He enjoyed his work. He made sure it was done right. Wilson was a Jack of all trades. There were times when he spent time with his grandchildren, They would go swimming,fishing,flower picking, joy riding all over. He always called the kids "snots" and they would answer and smiled. " I love all my snotsters " he would say. He was very protective of his baby girl "NannaBear", he would say to his wife. Mrs.Yazz dont be upset with her she (Nanna) is my Baby Girl. He was very lonely/missed his daughter (Lesley Deeshay) whom passed 04-24-2012. He took care of all his grandchildren, they all got an allowances every 2wks took them to town to spend it. These are things he did for his grandchildren just to see them smile. His greatest time was when he had all of them near him. Where ever Grandpa goes the Snotsters go. That was his que for all of them to jump in the vehicle, and there they go with him. The hilarious times was when he was walking in the living room, baby Zeke ran up behind him & grabbed his pajama pants legs proceeded to climb up, and Grandpa's pajama fell down his ankles, he says Now everyone knows I have Chicken Legs. LOL \uD83D\uDE06. We will miss our dad,grandpa and great grandpa. Grandma will be lost without him. We all love you! ❤ Wilson was a great man. He had a heart. Helped people. Cared for people. He took a lot of other children in. They all called him dad. Rest In Peace, We will all miss & Love him. Grave side services will be Tuesday April 14,2020 at 11:00 am with Military Honors at the San Carlos National Veterans Cemetery in Peridot. Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
