William "Bill" Stallings

William J. “Bill” Stallings, 69, of Globe, Arizona passed away at his residence on February 20, 2020. He was born July 9, 1950 in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Luther Edgar “Ed” Stallings and Arleen (McGlasson) Stallings.Bill graduated from Miami High School, Class of 1969. Following graduation, Bill attended ASU and then moved back to Globe to help manage the family car business, Stallings Motors. In 1988 Bill was married to Patty Moss and welcomed a daughter, Marcella “Marci” Stallings.Bill worked as a manager of sales and finance for nearly all his career at Stallings Motors, Healy Auto Center and finally retired from the Horne Auto Group in 2018. He was highly regarded from his peers and community and very passionate about his career in auto sales having had nearly 50 years of experience serving mostly the Globe-Miami area.Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and mountain biking, hiking and fishing with his beloved dogs Max and Pepper. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Cheryl L. Stallings, and step-sons Nathan Mounce and Matthew Fails.He is survived by his ex-wife Patty Hetrick (Marty) of Globe, and his daughter Marci Stallings (Chelsea) of Chandler, Arizona. A service of remembrance will be held at 12 p.m. noon on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Lamont Mortuary 328 S. Hill St. Globe, AZ 85501.
