Walter E. Hetrick of Globe, Arizona passed away peacefully in his childhood home surrounded by his 5 children, and his brothers Andy and Marty on September 27, 2022. He was 85 years old. Walt was born September 17, 1937 in Canton, Ohio to Martin Lee Hetrick and Mary Elizabeth Shelby Hetrick Day. He moved to Arizona in 1947 and graduated from Miami High School in 1955. He served in the United States Navy for 2 years then spent 42 years as a machinist in the mining and power industries. He was a hard worker, loved working on cars and was a top notch machinist. He loved spending time with family and had a great sense of humor. Always asking if you needed money or offering to pick up the tab and then pulling two dollars of his front pocket. He was known for his famous phrase, "I'm the best looking one in the family". Walter was preceded in death by his parents; his sister; Evelyn Contreras, his brothers; Larry, Willie and Vincent Hetrick and grandson; Joshua Kerrigan. Walter is survived by his children; Leslie Kerrigan, Marty Hetrick (Saphrona), Nolan Hetrick and Darby Hetrick (Sommer), 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers; Marty, Andy and Curly. At his request services will be a private family affair.
