Virginia Garcia

August 19, 1953 — April 2, 2019

Virginia C. Garcia took her first breath on August 19th1953. She was the 2nd of 3 children (Susan Velarde, Thomas Garcia) born to her parents Margarita and Jubencio (JP) Garcia in Globe, Arizona. Her childhood was filled with happy memories of baking with her Father and cooking special meals with her Mom. She loved taking family trips to Mexico with her family, going back to see her grandparents and family was one of her favorite memories. Music, food and family were a constant in life. Virginia met Anthony (Tony) Garcia in 1973, theirs was a romance that continued all of their married lives (Married 5/26/73). They were blessed with three children, Daniel (Sonia), David and Nicole. She was a proud Mother, whether the kids were laughing, crying or getting into mischief, she made sure that they were surrounded by love. As they grew, she was always taking part in their hobbies, sporting events and life moments. Especially when it came to the birth of her grandchildren, these babies were her true passion. This also included the children from her niece and nephews that were always around the house. Virginia, or Virgie as so many knew her, helped raise 12 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and many great nieces and nephews. They all took part in the yearly camping trips to the White Mountains, where the food and family kept them all close to one another. On April 2nd 2019, Virgie took her final breath with her family close by her side. In her final days, she stayed in the home of her niece Ana Gonzales (Adrian). Everyone was able to spend their time talking, laughing and crying with her as they shared stories and of course listened to music and ate the food that she so loved. While we mourn our lost loved one, remember she is rejoicing with her loved ones in heaven. Please come and celebrate her life with her family and friends on April 27th 2019 at 1:00 PM.   This will be held at the Knights of Columbus #1158 located at U S Highway 60, Globe AZ 85501
