Van "Pac-Man" Chatlin

Van Lee Chatlin “Pac-Man”, age 39 of San Carlos, Arizona passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at San Carlos Apache Healthcare Center in Peridot, Arizona. He was born in San Carlos, Arizona on January 9, 1982. Van was the son of Knutson Chatlin and Ophelia (Mason) Chatlin. He attended Rice Elementary, J.C. Jr. High and San Carlos High School and later worked for the San Carlos Tribe as a laborer. Van helped out a lot with Sunrise Dances and funeral services. He loved fishing, being outdoors, playing basketball and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Van is preceded in death by his father Knutson Chatlin and is survived by his mother Ophelia Chatlin, brother Riley Chatlin of San Carlos and sisters; Barletta Palmer, Anaya Chatlin, and Neva Chatlin of San Carlos, Arizona. A Wake will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. at Ophelia Chatlin’s residence in Seven Mile Wash/San Carlos, AZ Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Ophelia Chatlin’s residence. Interment will be at Holy Ground Cemetery in San Carlos, Arizona.
