Tim D. Stickler

August 15, 1949 — July 16, 2021

Tim D. Stickler passed away 16 July 2021 in Globe, Arizona. He was born on 15 August 1949 in Green Bay, Wisconsin the son of Mildred and Donald Stickler. In 1953 the family moved to Phoenix for Tim’s health. He thrived and grew to be 6 feet 6 inches tall, graduating from South Mountain High School in Phoenix, Arizona. His favorite class was auto shop. That interest would continue throughout his life. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Afterwards he worked as a plumber and Pipefitters local union #469 in Phoenix, Arizona. Tim’s hobbies included water skiing and stockcar racing. For many years Tim enjoyed water skiing on the lakes near Phoenix, Page, and Parker. He patiently took time to teach many youngsters and adults to ski. For almost 50 years Tim was also involved in stockcar racing with friends and family. He started at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix and came to races in Globe, Arizona in the 1970’s. He enjoyed the challenge of fine tuning a stock car for the best performance possible. Tim was also a screenplay writer-all G rated. Ideas would come to him on his long drives and he would turn them into a screenplay. Similar to the stockcars, he would fine tune or edit the screenplays for the best effect. He completed a dozen screenplays and was a member of the Writers Guild of America, West.

Tim is survived by his three sisters; Barbara, Sue and Sally.

He is also survived by his nephew Adam and three nieces; Melanja, Cassie and Toni.

His ashes will be scattered at a favorite location in August.
