We are heartbroken to announce our father, Thomas Brown, taking his journey on February, 23rd 2023. He passed away peacefully at the age of 71, surrounded by his family. Our dad loved his Pomo culture. Thomas was born in Santa Rosa, California on March 26th,1951. His passion and love was singing his Pomo songs for his family. Thomas was cultural leader and specialist for his people. He was very proud of being married to his wife Imogene for over 50 years. He leaves behind his loving wife Imogene Brown; sons Btaka and Matonth; daughters Sinetta and Crystal; grandchildren Btaka, Jr., Mohiah, Waya, Nomie, Gouyen, Shundine, and Lozen; great granddaughter Anabelle; sister Patsy Sneezy; brothers Jim Brown III, Carlos Nosie Sr., Tommy Nosie Sr., and Wendsler Nosie Sr. Thomas is preceded in passing by his father Jim Brown Jr; mother Elvina Brown; sisters Geraldine, Sharon, Mary Alice; brothers Ray, Marvin, Cecil, and Paul Jr.
Wake will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Leanne Nosie Residence at 4:00 P.M. (next to the Cultural Center) in San Carlos, Arizona.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Burdette Hall in San Carlos, Arizona.
Interment will follow at the Holy Ground Cemetery in San Carlos, Arizona.
