Skyler Al Nosie passed away at the San Carlos Apache healthcare on March 22, 2022, with family at his bedside. He was 33 years old. Skyler was born on January 26 th , 1989, in Phoenix, Az.
Skyler started riding horses when his family ran the Rawhide Stockyards. When he was still in diapers, riding with his dad pushing cattle during the livestock auctions. Then the family moved to San Carlos, Az they lived and worked for the Tonto cattle association. From there he learned the ropes and started competing in Jr. Rodeos. When he was not at the ranch, he spent a lot of time with his grandparents. Keeping busy by playing with his siblings and cousins in the wash. Driving go karts and playing various games and activities.
He attended Rice Primary until 3 rd grade then he became homeschooled. When the family moved to the R-100 ranch, Skyler had more room and time to rope and ride. He competed in many all Indian jr. rodeos and joined the Arizona Junior rodeo association. With family and friends helping pay for his rodeo entries, he went on to become the Arizona state champion jr. calf roper. He was fearless and roped calves and steers right out of the box. When Skyler reached 11 th grade, he wanted to attend public school with his BMX buddies and heavy metal band mates. So, went on to attend San Carlos high school where we graduated alongside his many friends. After graduating high school, he was employed by 5D mining & construction company for 6 years. When he was diagnosed with cancer, he resigned and began a 3-year battle with cancer. He almost lost his life at that time. Because of his cancer, he developed a weak immune system. He begged his doctor to clear him for full activities. Because he wanted to rope at Lasso Del Sol. His doctor agreed and the family friend Bebe Rivera paid his entry fee. Without practicing, Skyler went on to win a buckle, saddle and a little over $3,000 in prize money that weekend. He was a natural born roper full of talent. Throughout his entire rodeo career, he won over 400 buckles, 90 saddles, 2 go karts and many other prizes and money. Skyler and his ex-girlfriend Rhea also ran a babysitting business. They took care of his late grandma Isla, and his nieces and nephews would come their house. They loved kids and took in anyone that needed a place to sleep. He was a big kid at heart and played with the kids as if he was a child himself. He went on to become a temporary stockman for Anchor 7 ranch then employed by Oddonetto construction. When his father and brother become foreman and stockman of Ash creek cattle association, Skyler began to record their work. He edited the videos and started a YouTube channel named, “Apache Cowboy”. He loved his fans and all the positive feedback. He brought light to the ranching and cowboy way. His memory will forever live through his exciting and adventurous YouTube channel.
Skyler is survived by his parents, Alvin and Sharon Nosie of San Carlos, Az. His sisters Janalyn Nosie of Peridot, Az and Dana Nosie of San Carlos, Az. His brother Tyler Nosie of San Carlos, Az. His children Dakota Nosie and Marciella Nosie. And his many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, and uncles.

Service: Friday, April 1 - 2:00 PM - Burdette Hall San Carlos.
Burial: Hilltop Cemetery, 7 Mile District.
