Shirley Evaughn Woods

Shirley Woods, age 80, went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2021. She was born on February 26, 1941 to Howard and Gladys Agerton in Quincy, Florida.

Shirley was a homemaker, who enjoyed spending every possible moment with her family. She enjoyed cooking large meals for them and all of her friends. She was very involved in her church teaching Sunday School, and singing and coordinating with the vocalists to schedule their performances. She served as the President of the Women’s Ministries for several years. She volunteered at local nursing homes singing for the residents, as well as singing at weddings and funerals for her loved ones. She is now singing for the Lord!

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Woods, her parents, Howard and Gladys Agerton, her brother Edward, her sister Ann, and 2 Grandchildren. She has 7 children, Dinah Foster (Mark), Clara Becker (Tom), Georgina/Gina Bunger (Troy), William/Billy Sites, Eloise Lombardi, William/Bill Woods (Tammy), John/Ed Woods (Susan), 48 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren, and 2.5 Great, Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held November 6, 2021 at 1:00pm at Miami Word of Life Assembly of God Church in Miami, AZ.

Celebration of Life at 2:00pm at the church. (The family would like to encourage attendees to wear colors instead of black)

Internment following at Globe Cemetery in Globe, AZ.
