Sharon Chatlin-Sippi

In loving memory of Sharon Chatlin-Sippi 1968-2024

Alice Hinton and McFarland Chatlin were blessed with their first-born child, Sharon Chatlin on October 27th, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois. Sharon’s birth brought a lot of joy and happiness to her parents. While in Chicago, she used to live on Roscoe Street and after that she moved two more times and settled on the Northside of Chicago with her parents.

During the summer of July 1971, Sharon’s dad was on a two-week vacation and for some unknown reason, Sharon’s parents moved from Chicago and came back to San Carlos, Arizona.

Sharon attended school at St. Charles School and completed her third grade then went to Rice Elementary School for the 4th – 8th grade. Then she took her entrance examination for St. Catherans High School and passed. She completed High School in 1986.

Sharon entered the Miss San Carlos Pageant in 1984, when she came back from Santa Fe, New Mexico and that same evening was the pageant. Sharon, her mother and father got together and really brainstormed on her talent and taught Sharon how to count up to ten in the Apache language. The night of the pageant, Sharon’s father and two sisters attended the pageant and watched Sharon perform. She surprised her father and won the Miss San Carlos second runner up.

Sharon absolutely loved her husband, children and grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mark H. Chatlin and Madelene Chatlin, her mother Alice Hinton-Chatlin, son Donovan Brooks, Jr., niece Cynthia Brooks, nephew Mario Victor, Jr., and Cousin Fletcher Chatlin, Jr.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Ivan Sippi, son Brand Chatlin, Sr., daughters Jamie Brooks and Eileen Chatlin, and numerous grandchildren and first cousins.

WAKE WILL BE HELD AT 4:00PM ON JUNE 28TH, 2024, AT THE SIPPI RESIDENCE ON WHITE MOUNTAIN AVE.

FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 8:00AM ON JUNE 29TH, 2024, AT THE ST. CHARLES CATHOLIC CHURCH IN SAN CARLOS, ARIZONA.

BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT THE HOLY GROUND CEMETERY.
