Rosa "Rosie" Gallegos Flores

Rosa Gallegos Flores of Globe, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 10, 2021 in Phoenix. Rosa known to all as "Rosie" was born on October 12, 1927 in Globe, Arizona to Pedro and Francisca Flores. Rosie Graduated from Globe High School in 1946, looking for a job she moved to Los Angeles, California. She worked as a Secretary for an insurance company in the downtown area, but driving in traffic became a problem and so she found a job closer to home in Monterey Park, California. Rosie wasn't alone, her sister Trini Flores Muñoz was sent to California in 1948. Family was important to Rosie! Rosie was never married, but she became a "Second" mom to her nieces and nephews. Rosie loved to spend the weekends taking Trini's four girls Ann, Patricia, Anna and Gloria to the movies, the park rides to the beach or just to explore the city. She spent her vacations in Globe with her parents Pedro and Francisca as well as sisters Sally Sandoval and Refugia "Cuca" Flores. Upon the death of her sister Trini Flores Muñoz, Rosie moved back to Globe in 2010. Where she enjoyed spending time with family friends, and a Good Book! She was preceded in death by her mother Francisca in 1974, her father Pedro in 1984 and her sister Trini in 2010. She is survived by her sisters Sally Flores Sandoval of Globe and Refugia Flores of Phoenix as well as her nieces and nephews. She was loved, admired and will be missed by all. Rosary will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 9:30 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, AZ Memorial Mass to follow at 10:00 A.M. at the church. Interment of ashes will be held privately.
