Ron Franquero Ron was born on December 29th 1944 at Gila General Hospital in Globe. He passed away July 20th 2018. He is survived by his Brother David Franquero (Bobbie), Sister Christine Balistieri (Tom) Nephews- David C Franquero (Mandy), Aaron Franquero, Niece- Kristin Franquero (Chris) Cousins- Tom Pifer (Nancy), Elenor Grace Snyder, Gary Knight (Brenda), Tom Knight (Esther) and NancyKnight- Gordon, as well as numerous great Nieces and Nephews. Ron grew up in Globe, attended Hill Street School and Globe High School, graduating GHS in 1962. Ron went on to attend the University of Arizona on an academic scholarship for engineering. He graduated from U of A in 1966 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Later he achieved his Master’s Degrees in Engineering and Business. He worked as a Certified Engineer for the State of Arizona. Most of his career was as a power utility engineer, and in later years worked for the Arizona Corporation Commission. After retirement, Ron worked as a substitute teacher in West Phoenix high schools. Ron loved sports, and was an avid U of A Wildcats fan. He was an outdoorsman, and liked to hunt and fish as well as spend time at his cabin north of Payson. Ron had a servant’s heart and worked in several ministries for his church. He ministered to prisoners, was involved in food distribution to the poor, singles group ministries, and church choirs. Services were held Monday, July 30th at River of Life Church in Globe
