Robert Burdette Jr. “Bambi”, 72, of Peridot, AZ, passed away February 13, 2021 at his residence. He fought courageously but lost his battle with cancer. Just like he delt with all the experiences in his life, he faced his illness head-on with strength and dignity. He spent as much time as he could with his loved ones and as he departed this world, he was surrounded with family, who he adored more than anything else. Robert was born on October 6, 1948 to Robert and Roxie Burdette Sr., in San Carlos, AZ. He graduated from Phoenix Indian School in 1967. Then in 1968, he decided to enlist in the United Stated Marine Corps where he fought and served his country in the Vietnam War as a Mortar Man, until 1971, when he was honorably discharged. After returning Stateside, he received certification at California Trade Technical School to be a General Automotive Mechanic and also though ABC Welding School for Master Plate Welding. He was employed with McSpadden Ford as an Auto Mechanic, the Christmas Mines as a welder, with the S.C.A.T. Utility Authority as Assistant Director and finally at the S.C.A.T. Utility Construction as Director. Through it all, his wife Patricia remained steadfast by his side for 52 years. He also leaves behind his children, Jessica Dosela, Andrea Burdette, Ty Burdette and Kenneth Phillips, Jr. and his grandchildren Jaylyn, Desirae, Kylie, Isaiah and Baby Duckie. Including his siblings: Josephine Irving (Gene), Arlene Holmes, Melinda Roubidoux (Jonas), Rosalind White, Sharon Burdette, Verna Stevens (Albert Sr.), Harding Burdette (Brenda), Andrew Burdette, Ricardo Burdette (Neva) and Vernelda Porter (Jeffery). As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in passing are his parents, Robert and Roxie Burdette Sr. and his grandson Kyle Ryan Phillips. Robert touched many lives with his charm, generosity and wisdom. He will be greatly missed. VISITATION AT LAMONT MORTUARY CHAPEL THURSDAY FEBRUARY 25,2021 FROM 3 TO 5:00 PM .
