Richard A. Sanchez

Richard Azpetia Sanchez, age 78 of Globe, Arizona passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019                              at his residence in Globe, Arizona. He was born in Clarkdale, Arizona on July 10, 1941. He was the                                   son of Ruth (Azpetia) and Tony Diaz Sanchez. He worked as an underground mine foreman for Magma Copper Company. Richard collected rifles. He loved all sports and coached baseball in San Manuel. He loved to take jeep rides in the mountains and loved hunting, BBQ’s and fishing (but he didn’t like to clean them). He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Tony Sanchez, his brother Henry Sanchez, and sisters Jessie Sanchez and Lucille Ottomanyi. He is survived by his wife Yolanda (Benavidez) Sanchez of Globe, Arizona, his children Gilbert Sanchez of Dudleyville, Arizona, Robert Sanchez of Globe, Arizona, Peter Sanchez of Globe, Arizona, Frank Sanchez of Billington Oregon, Richard Sanchez Jr. of Globe and Cylina Sanchez of Billington, Oregon, his siblings Carmen Parker of Whittier, California, Marie Alario of Whittier, California, Tony Sanchez of Turkey Creek, Arkansas, Raymond Sanchez of Oracle, Arizona, 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 9:00A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, Arizona. Followed by Rosary at 10:00 A.M. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church.
