Rethema Mae Johnson-Starr, age 55, of San Carlos, Arizona passed away on August 2, 2023 at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.

She was born in San Carlos, Arizona to Michael Johnson and Vina Goode.

She worked as a baker.

She is preceded in death by her son Esai Bendle; and her siblings Michael Johnson, Jr., Jose L. Perez, Jr., Juanita Perez, and Victoria Johnson.

She is survived by her daughters Alexandria Johnson, Vanessa Bendle-Ramirez (Lauro), and Alysia Bendle; and her siblings Monica Johnson Hernandez, Avarista Chatlin, Michelle Burke, Angelina Calderone, and Bernadette “Bonnie” Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 4:00 P.M. at the Johnson residence in San Carlos, Arizona.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 8:00 A.M. at Burdette Hall in San Carlos, Arizona.

Interment will follow at Northgate Cemetery in San Carlos, Arizona.
