Ramon Regaldo Gonzales

February 11, 1930 — January 5, 2020

Ramon R. Gonzales known to many as Monchie or Uncle Moo went to meet his maker on January 5, 2020 at the age of 89, short 5 weeks of his 90th birthday which he was anxiously awaiting to celebrate.     Ramon was born to Trinidad and Refugia Gonzales on February 11, 1930. As a young boy, he used to pair up with his brother Jesus and sing all the time. They called the duet "compadres". He also enjoyed collecting old bicycle parts and putting them together for his younger brothers.      When he graduated from high school he went to work at the 7Up Bottling Co where he would make the different flavored sodas and then deliver the cases to different merchants. When the company closed down he worked at a local merchandise warehouse and later went to Phoenix where he worked at another fruit and vegetable warehouse as a delivery man. His last job when he retired was at Magma Copper.     Even though he never had children of his own, he had many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly  He especially liked babies as he liked pinching their chubby cheeks.     Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting Monchie knew him to be a gentle generous man. He will best be remembered by his kindness and extraordinary sense of humor.  He was preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Dorothy Smith, his siblings ; Jose Saenz. Gilbert, Augustine, Vicente and Manuel Gonzales; sisters Simona Ybarra, Lupe Ortega, Carmen Macias, Angela Amado and Leonore Ramos.     He is survived by Adela Lopez, brother Jesus Gonzales and sister in law Frances Gonzales      Ramon will be deeply missed but knowing he's at rest and with our Lord gives us great comfort    Visitation will be on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 9:00 A>M. at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami, Arizona. Rosary will follow at 9:30 A.M. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens in Miami, Arizona.
