Patricia Carol Martindale

Patricia Carol Carter 72. From Apache Junction, AZ peacefully passed on September 26, 2023. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harold and Mark Carter, Patricia's step-daughter Debbie (Johnny Bailey Sr.), and Step-son Patrick (Sheri) Martindale, Great-Grandson Quinten William Tramp, IlI. She is survived by her younger brother Harley, Daughter DeAnn (Brad Tassainer), and Son David Martindale (Edi Rector). She is also survived by her grandchildren Carly (Shawn McEuen), Jessica (Zachary Thompson) and "Little' David Lee Martindale, and her 2 great-grandsons Greyson and Lincoln McEuen.

Patricia was born on February 24, 1951 in Casa Grande, AZ to Bill and Billie Carter. She grew up in Ray along with her three brothers Harold, Harley and Mark. The family settled on some property in Dudleyville, AZ Where they had a family meat cutting business, "Carter's Custom Meat Cutting". After graduating Ray High School in 1969, Patricia traveled the United States where along the way she met and fell in love with Roy Martindale, later settling in Dudleyville, AZ. Patricia worked for Asarco Smelter as an overhead crane operator. In a trade and work environment made up primarily of men, Patricia had to deal with chauvinistic men but always stood proud and worked for 17 years while raising her children. In her later years Patricia and her dog Tigger settled in with her daughter DeAnn (Brad Tassainer) in Apache Junction, AZ.

Patricia loved her friends and family immensely and enjoyed sewing, crafts, baking, and was a wonderful cook. She was an avid romance novel reader and a crossword wizard, Enduring 11 years of dialysis she never complained about anything. Her favorite thing was watching and getting to know her Grandson David Lee Jr., and great-grandsons Greyson and Lincoln, who she couldn't get enough of.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 P.M. on October 21, 2023 at Countryside Park at 3130 E. Southern Ave., Mesa, Arizona 85204. Please enter from Los Alamos Rd. on the West side of the park. This is a potluck dinner.
