Pablo Salas

Pablo Jesus Salas, age 52 of Globe, Arizona passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Globe, Arizona on July 31, 1969. Pablo was the son of Salvador Salas and Mary (Sanchez) Salas.

He attended Holy Angels Catholic School, Globe High School, DOC Training and Air conditioning School.

Pablo was a DOC officer for Boy’s Ranch Conservation Corps. He worked for Pinto Valley Mine. He then moved to Hanson Cement in Mesa, went on to Freeport-McMoRan in Miami, on to Freeport-McMoRan in Silver City New Mexico, then to Peabody coal in Grants, New Mexico and back to Freeport-McMoRan in Safford as an Equipment Operator.

Pablo loved his pit-bulls; Loc, Mano, Bella and Pepper. He loved hunting, fishing and camping. Pablo loved his truck, which was his baby. He was the only male out of six children.

Pablo is preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Mary Salas and his sisters Regina and Gloria.

He is survived by the love of his life Michelle Rives, his son Emilio Salas and his daughter Destany Salas, his sisters Mary Mendez, Evelyn Hickman and Doris Russell along with three grandchildren; Addison, Autianna and Brooklyn.

A Reception will be held to celebrate Pablo’s life on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. at the Gila County Fair Grounds.
