Olga R. Gilmore

Olga Rivera Gilmore, 65, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at her residence in Globe, AZ. Olga was born in Superior, AZ to Rachel and Condido Rivera. She spent part of her childhood there before relocating with her family to Miami, AZ where she attended school until obtaining her GED. Olga began work at the Gila General Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide, and it was during her years there that she met her life partner Joseph Edward Gilmore the 3rd, also known as Joe Gilmore. They married on July 28, 1977, and soon after Olga left the hospital to begin her family. Together Joe and Olga had three children by the names of Jaclyn Gilmore, Joseph Edward Gilmore the 4th or “JJ”, and Audra Gilmore. Olga went back to work at Sprouse Reitz until the closing of the store and ventured on to Planned Parenthood to continue her career as a Nurse’s Aide until her retirement in 1996 around the time her first two grandchildren were born. After retiring Olga spent all her time caring for her family and friends. She had a heart unlike others, she was generous, giving, and welcomed all with open arms. She took many under her wing, and left the majority feeling safe, loved, and full! Her spirit, however, was fiery and fierce. Olga was a fighter, and she put up a good fight during her lifetime. Olga Rivera Gilmore is predeceased by her parents Rachel and Condido Rivera, her mother-in-law Patsy Gilmore, her father-in-law Edward Gilmore, her brothers Augie Rivera and Gilbert Rivera, and her son Joseph “JJ” Edward Gilmore the 4th. She is survived by her husband Joe Gilmore of 43 years, her daughters Jaclyn Gilmore, and Audra Gilmore, her 9 grandchildren Ashley Madrid, Arianne Madrid, Isaiah Gilmore, Adin Gilmore, Brynan Gilmore, Elijah Fryer, Isreal Fryer, Joseph Edward Gilmore the 5th, Blake Gilmore, 4 great grandchildren, her brothers Ruben and wife Angelina Rivera, Bebe and wife Liz Rivera, her sisters Dorine Rivera, Dolly Rivera, Yvonne Rivera, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
