Nancy Hooke

March 12, 1932 — July 28, 2018

On July 28, 2018, God called home our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, Nancy Pike Hooke.   She was born on March 12, 1932 in Bylas, Arizona where she was raised. Her parents were the late Alfred Pike and Nellie Valor-Pike.   When she was 18, she married Howard Hooke Sr., where they began their life in Peridot, Arizona. They had 11 children, 6 boys and 5 girls. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life raising her children and grandchildren. She loved cooking and having all the kids around the table. She also liked sewing and often made her own clothes. In her early years, she played softball and basketball. As she got older she loved watching sports on TV. Her favorite sports teams were Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks. She went to watch the Phoenix Suns for her birthday and had the time of her life.   In 1956, she dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She experienced many miracles in her life. Through her faith in God she raised her children and grandchildren with strong Christian values. She was the patriarch of our faith in God and Country. This is expressed by the twelve members of the her family that have joined and served all branches of the US Military.   She shared such a special bond with all of her family and friends. Nancy always had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. She loved helping people and would do absolutely anything for her children and grandchildren.   She is survived by her children, Charlene H.
