Mygretta Russell Shorten, age 91, of San Carlos, Arizona passed away on February 3, 2023 at her residence in San Carlos, Arizona.
She was born in San Carlos, Arizona on January 18, 1933 to Willie Russell and Katherine Mahsill.
She worked as an enrollment clerk for Tribal elections, as well as a teacher’s aide, a switchboard operator, and nurse’s aide.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
Mygretta is preceded in death by her son James Shorten, Jr.
She is survived by her children Gracie Phillips, Tamara Shorten, Sally Shorten Hooke, Judy Shorten, Russell Shorten, and Trudy Shorten; and her sister Nannie Begay.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church in San Carlos, Arizona.
