Modesto Ortiz

Modesto Ortiz, August 17, 1939 – June 17, 2023, passed away in Globe, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ramona Ortiz, grandson Zavier Ortiz, and daughter-in-law Regina Ortiz. Modesto was born and raised in Pagosa Springs, Colorado and moved to Globe, Arizona in 1973.

Modesto had a long successful career in heavy equipment mining, literally moving the earth. After he retired (years), they missed him so much they called back out of retirement to work. His passion was hunting, fishing, and helping members of the community. No job was ever too big, too difficult, or too small.

Modesto is survived by his brother Joseph Ortiz, his sons Richard (Carol), Adolfo (Lynette) and Modesto II (Amber), and 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on June 23, 2023, at 9:00AM, Rosary will be at 9:30 AM, and Mass will be at 10:00AM at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, Arizona
