Milton W. Sloane, Sr, 90, of Globe passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Phoenix.
He was born on January 19, 1932 in Shreveport, LA to Morrise H. and Jennie Arnaud Sloane. He graduated from Byrd High School in Shreveport and Northwestern University in 1960.
On November 3, 1961 he married Patricia “Kay” Green of Shreveport and they recently celebrated their 60 th wedding anniversary. Earlier in life he worked as an engineer for the State of Louisiana Highway Department where he was a key engineer in the construction of the Mississippi River Bridge. He retired as plant manager for Fabsteel Corp in Waskom, Texas. In his post retirement, he became the owner of AAA Lock Service in Globe in 1991 and owned it for the next 25 years. He was a lifelong member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a sixty plus year Scottish Rite 32 nd degree Master Mason.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: Senior Chief Whit Sloane US Navy Rota Spain . Tricia Budd (Taylor) of Pittsboro, NC. Three grandchildren: Thomas J. Sloane (Jenna), Oakland, TN; Hannah Budd, Miami, FL and Jacob Budd of Pittsboro, NC. One great granddaughter: Charleigh Sloane of Oakland, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two siblings, his in-laws (Marjorie and Joe Green) and a grandson: Colt Clark.
