Matthew J. Descheny

Matthew J. Descheny (Matt-D), 47 years old, was born on January 3, 1974 to Patsy Moses Cohoe (Bill Cohoe) and Johnny Descheny in Durango, Colorado. He entered into rest on January 23, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He lived in Peridot, AZ with his wife of 21 years, Shirlene Woodbury Descheny, and his two sons Peyton Daago Descheny and Elias Tillman Descheny. Matthew attended Elementary School in Pinehill, New Mexico. He attended high school at East Fork Lutheran School in Whiteriver, Arizona graduating in 1992. He worked at Apache Gold Casino and Apache Sky Casino as a Revenue Auditor in the Finance Department. He was employed there for 23 years. He was also a Disk Jockey better known as DJ Matt-D. He loved music and had a real talent for it, which he shared with everyone he came in contact with. He was preceded in death by his mother Patsy Moses Cohoe and his son Matthew Jayden Descheny. He is survived by his father Johnny Descheny, his Step-father Bill Cohoe, and his siblings Cheryl Moses (Peridot AZ), Kelli Descheny (Las Vegas, NV), Koby Descheny (Las Vegas, NV) Kyle Descheny (Rockpoint, AZ) and Lexi Descheny (Rockpoint, AZ). Visitations will be on Tues. Feb 2, 2021 from 8:00-9:30 at Lamont Mortuary Chapel. Graveside services will follow 11:00 A.M. at Blackpoint Cemetery in Bylas
