Mary Evelyn Chapman

Mary “Evelyn” Chapman, age 79, of Globe, Arizona passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in Globe, Arizona.

She was born in Miami, Arizona on July 16, 1944, the daughter of Harold LeCompte and Maxine (Walls) LeCompte.

Evelyn married Jack Chapman in 1963 and had two sons.  She worked as a clerk for Magma Copper Co. She was a loving wife and mother. She liked going to the White Mountains to their summer home, enjoyed playing golf and riding her ATV.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 61 years Jack Chapman, her sons Robert Chapman of Globe, AZ and Jeff Chapman of Gilbert, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Maxine LeCompte, her sister Margie Mitchell and her brother Jim LeCompte.
