Martha Ellen Gillette

Martha Ellen Gillette, age 91, of Globe, Arizona passed away on December 24, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Hartselle, Alabama on July 13, 1933, to John and Elizabeth (Stewart) Thexton.

Martha had worked in the ‘old’ Gila County Courthouse in downtown Globe until the arrival of her daughters, where she then became a full-time mother. After the girls were grown, Martha worked for Dr. Frank Rooney in his dental office and later for Miles-Dameron funeral home.

She is survived by her daughters Ellie Boyd (Mike) and Mary Curiel (Salvador). Her sister Judy Kieren (Robert). Grandchildren, Patrick Termain, Adam Termain, Benjamin Boyd, Sarah Rodriquez, and Dean Courvoisier. She has 7 great grandchildren with 1 on the way. 2 nieces, Elizabeth Schnoll (Jonathan), and Martha Castelhano (Chris). 1 nephew, Mark Kieren (Elizabeth). She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Gillette, her parents, and her brother John.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church in Globe. A luncheon to follow in the church hall.
