Marianne G. Shaw

Marianne G. Shaw, age 82, passed away in Globe, Arizona on November 6, 2023. She lived in Arizona for 59 years. She was the daughter of James P. Mathews and Nell Rose Lundsford.

Marianne was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, piano, cooking, singing, listening to gospel music, and helping others. She was very active in a multitude of activities including karate, yoga, kickboxing, belly dancing, running, and various other physical activities.

In her younger years she enjoyed hiking, bicycling, jogging, archery, arts and crafts, painting, and physical fitness activities. She enjoyed life to the fullest! Her favorite hobby, though, was caring for her family.

She is survived by her son Richard Shaw and family, son Stephen Shaw and family, daughter Darla Bradford and family, daughter Deborah Packer, daughter Elizabeth Hurtado and a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son David P. Shaw and her husband Jerry J. Shaw.

Marianne was a very loving and caring mother, wife, and person. She was the apple of our father’s eye, and they were married for nearly 55 years before he passed away in 2018. She was an inspiration to a great number of people, and she will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 11, 2023, at Trinity Baptist Church at 11:00 AM in Globe, Arizona.

Interment will follow at Globe Cemetery.
