Margaret Sanchez was a beautiful, kind, religious woman and the youngest of nine children.
She grew up during the Great Depression and loved to share her stories. She was very proud of
her brothers who served in the military, sadly losing one of them in 1944, in the Battle of the
Bulge. Even though it was a sad time for her family, she persevered in school in Globe.
Margaret's intelligence and hard work led her to become the editor of her high school
newspaper. Aside from school, she was also an involved member at Holy Angels Church from
her teenage years on.
Later, Margaret married and had 3 children, Richard, Thomas and Georgina. She was a proud
and loving grandmother and great grandmother as well. There was never a birthday forgotten by
her, and she always reminded each of her kin that she kept them in her prayers.
Margaret was always a hard worker, working as a waitress, in retail, even selling Tupperware.
Later she was the secretary for State Farm Insurance in Globe & retired after 18 years. While
she wasn’t working, her talent shone through in her various crafts of sewing, ceramics, knitting
and baking. She also was an active member of the local senior centers and the VFW auxiliary.
Margaret loved her family, her friends and many of the caregivers she had toward the end of her
life. As her time came near, she prayed her rosary and loved looking at the hummingbirds
outside her window daily. She had a soft spot for all birds, but cardinals were her absolute
favorite.
Margaret is now resting and with our Lord. Beautiful soul and our Angel forever.
