Lorenzo Hadley

July 29, 1942 — October 24, 2021

Lorenzo Hadley was born on July 29th 1942 in Bylas, Arizona to the late Scott Hadley Sr. and Eva Ganilla-Hadley. He attended Bylas Lutheran Day School. At a young age, he met and married Frieda Wright-Hadley. They had five children Darwin, Vernon, the late Michael Hadley, the late Curly Hadley and a daughter Cherie Lemons. Also at a young age he was introduced into ranching, where he worked in the mountains at Ash Creek during Roundup season branding cattle. Soon after, he dedicated his life to being a cowboy. Lorenzo’s greatest achievement was when he rode the first bull in Canyon Day where he won his first buckle along with being proud of his cousin, Norwin Wesley, who introduced him to bull riding. Norwin gave him his nickname “Latch”. Lorenzo also had many other nicknames by his friends such as “Wazh” and “Top Hand”. Lorenzo love to watch football and support his favorite team which was the Arizona Cardinals along with his favorite player, Larry Fitzgerald. He liked to listen to his favorite radio station KYAY while doing his crossword puzzle and also loved to sit outside while his grandchildren played. Often you could find him singing Apache songs while outside. Lorenzo always said he wasn't scared of anything and in his words “Cowboys don't get scared, Cowboys are tough”. He made his peace the Lord and accepted it and said he will miss everyone, especially his great-grandchildren. He will be missed by many friends and family. We all have our memories that we each shared with him and we will cherish. He leaves behind his children, Darwin Hadley of San Carlos, Vernon Hadley of Globe, Cherie Lemons of Tennessee, one sister, Karen Hadley and several grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
