Lora Gilbert

Laura Ellen Gilbert, age 72, of Peridot, AZ passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Haven Health Nursing Home in Globe, AZ. She was born in Miami, AZ on September 3, 1948 the daughter of Braille Lewis and Cordelia Clark. She attended school at Peridot Lutheran School and Church. Later she went to Seventh Day Adventist Indian School in Holbrook, Arizona. She was an avid baker and cake decorator. She was well known in San Carlos and Throughout Arizona for her wedding cakes. Laura had various jobs while raising her children and grandchildren who will miss her very much. Preceded in death by her parents Braille Lewis and Cordelia Clark, her son Rustin Dewey, Jr., and daughter Amanda Gilbert. Laura is survived by her husband Lindon Gilbert, her children; Angelia Delma, Carol Speer, Christina Verdugo, Desiree Schmidt, Jose Alvarez, Cydney Smith and Thriska Smith her siblings: Francis Lewis, Wynona Bigman, Rosita Roehrig, Edward Roehrig, Rebecca Bizanalani, Marian Wikowski, David Roehrig, Jr. and Cornelia Endicott. 11 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.
