Lindolfo Pena “LP or Fito” Garcia, age 81, of Globe, AZ passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. He was born to Antonio and Beatrice (Pena) Garcia on June 15, 1937 at Ranchito de Huepac, Sonora, Mexico. He was one of 10 children and came to Globe in 1948. He met and married the love of his life Mary Helen on August 30, 1958. Together they raised two boys and three girls and he was very proud of all of them. “Fito” served in the National Guard and was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus in Globe. He worked at the smelter as a tapper and retired after 33 years of service. “Fito” enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing & cutting wood, Haigler’s Creek was his favorite place. But what he enjoyed the most was spending time with family. He never met a stranger. Lindolfo was preceded in death by his wife Mary Helen Garcia, his parents, his two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his children; Lindolfo Garcia, Jr. (Deneen), Ruben Garcia (Lisa), Betty Garcia, Genevieve Martinez, RoseAnn Castaneda (Tom), and nine grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all and forever known as Tata Fito/Uncle Fito. Visitation will be on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 8:00 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, AZ Followed by Rosary at 8:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9:00 A.M. at the church Interment will be at Mt. Breeze Memorial Gardens.
