It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Kristy Lea Phelps, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and treasured friend. Kristy passed away on April 10, 2025, at her home in Globe, Arizona.
Born on July 20, 1962, Kristy brought warmth, strength, and light into the lives of everyone who knew her. She was the heart of her family—a source of unconditional love, quiet wisdom, and unwavering support. Kristy had an incredible ability to make everyone around her feel special and loved. She had a way of making each person
feel seen and valued, whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or just with her beautiful smile. Her love was unconditional, and she made sure those around her knew how important they were to her. Kristy’s warmth and care created lasting bonds with all who knew her, and her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of many.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Phelps; her son, Chris Overstreet (Kendra), along with their children Taylor and Jackson; Sarah Phelps and her children Ella and Eten; Adam Phelps (Jenny), and their daughter Hazel; Cody Phelps (Summer), with their children Kiara, Carver, and Analieha; Dylan Phelps (Madi), and their children Kia, Ivy, Naomi, and Miles; and Kiley Phelps. Her mother, Priscilla Clemishire; and her sisters, Jacki Layton (Tracy) and Ronda Hallenbeck. Kristy is preceded in death by her father, Ron Clemishire, nephew, Tyler Bryce and her beloved daughter, Tosha Nicole Overstreet, whose memory she carried in her heart every day.
Kristy had a deep love for flowers, plants, and exploring the great outdoors. She found joy in hiking, hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake. She loved to travel and experience new places, always appreciating the beauty and peace they brought her. But more than anything, she cherished the small, simple things in life and her beloved family and friends.
Above all, Kristy had a strong and enduring faith that guided her throughout her life. It gave her strength during hard times, peace during quiet moments, and joy in the blessings she found every day. Her faith was not only a source of comfort but a light she shared with others through her kindness, grace, and compassion.
