Kathleen Marie Campbell, 70, of Globe Arizona passed away peacefully in her beloved home on March 25, 2025.
Kathy was born on December 4, 1954 in Globe Arizona to her eternal loves Hugh and Mary Lou Hocking. Because she was a change of life baby, Kathy was always extremely close to her parents. Most of her childhood memories are of the three of them together.
Growing up, Kathy's dad would tell her that when she was born, he caught her playing jacks with the nurses. Throughout her life he would stop to tell her, "Remember, you were playing jacks with the nurses." Kathy and her dad could sit together for long periods of time without speaking words. Both very quiet and reverent souls. Kathy's memories of summer were spent swimming, fishing, and attending her brother Lynn's baseball games. Her dad always gave her a quarter for the concessions. Kat, as her dad called her, would buy hot cinnamon suckers. Kathy has always loved her beloved hometown of Globe. The many streets and mountains she walked as a child was always a favorite pass time while walking to and from school. While attending high school, Kathy skipped an entire semester. Kathy decided to walk to her sister, Loretta's home, where she stayed, instead. Sometimes she would stop at Mighty Nice Bakery to pick up cinnamon rolls for the two of them. The school eventually called Kathy's mom to enquire if she had switched schools, thus ending all the fun. In 1974, Kathy met the love of her life, David Neil Campbell. One month later, David asked Kathy to marry him. They married on February 28, 1975 in her childhood church. Later, on June 7, 1980, Kathy and her beloved were sealed to each other in the Mesa Arizona temple. Kathy had a passion for books and of learning. She was often found at her desk studying her scriptures and adorning them. Kathy felt it was important to learn something new everyday. She always said that she hoped to learn something new on her last day of life.Kathy loved pink. Especially pink carnations! She filled her her home with beautiful choice things. Joy, laughter, love, and faith, were always found in her home. Kathy was a rare beauty who only searched for the good in people.Kathy is survived by her children Bobby and Megan Campbell, Leyni and Greg Measeles, grandbabies Tristan Campbell, Daisy Measeles, Lilyona Measeles, and David Measeles.
