Joy Denise Philpot

Joy Denise Philpot, age 69, of Globe, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday, May 2 ^nd , 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

She was born in Hawthorne, Nevada on December 3 ^rd , 1953, to Charles and Joy Ashcraft.

Joy was raised and attended school in Hawthorne, Nevada. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center, Heritage of Globe, Gila General, Home Health, Hospice, San Carlos Hospital, and she did many travel assignments. She enjoyed spending time with her family, Buncco friends, and nursing friends. Joy also enjoyed traveling.

Joy is preceded in death by her husband Nolan Philpot, her parents Joy and Charles Ashcraft, and her son Jeffrey Burke.

She is survived by her son James (Tina) Burke Jr., daughter Nichole (Jason) Salcido, sisters Charlotte Harman, Christine Ferguson, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24 ^th at the Globe Elks Lodge beginning at 11:00 am

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Thema Hospice Care - Joy Philpot Nursing Scholarship Fund.
