Joseph Young Jr.

Joseph Young Jr., age 60 of San Carlos, Arizona passed away on October 26, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born in San Carlos, Arizona on June 9, 1960. He was the son of Nona (Hammond) and Joseph Young Sr. He worked as a Seasonal Firefighter for the BIA Forestry Department. He attended Rice Elementary School and San Carlos Junior High School. He mined Peridot for himself. Joseph enjoyed walking and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother Nona (Hammond) Young. He is survived by his father Joseph Young Sr. of San Carlos, his children Gwendolyn Young Clendon of Phoenix, Quinton Young Sr. of San Carlos, Jodee Young of San Carlos, his sister Carol Hopkins of Peridot, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, Arizona. Graveside services will follow in Northgate Cemetery.
