Joe P. Martinez

Joe Peña Martinez, Jr. age 86, of Globe, AZ passed away on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at his residence in Globe, AZ. He was born in Miami, AZ on June 12, 1934 the son of Joe Martinez, Sr. and Cruz (Peña) Pereyda. He attended and graduated from Globe High School. He had worked as a Pipefitter/Welder for Miami Inspiration Copper Co. for 35 years. He enjoyed Hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Preceded in death by his wife Sally (Villegas) Martinez in 2014, his two sisters Lena Naeter and Lupe Torres and both of his parents. Joe is survived by his children Joseph V. Martinez and Mona L. Martinez. We will miss him, but will remember him always with great love and affection. Graveside Services with military honors will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Globe Cemetery in Globe, AZ
