Joe R. Maldonado

Jose “Joe” Reyes Maldonado, 90 years old of Globe, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his home on March 3, 2021. He was born on July 21, 1930, was the second youngest to nine siblings. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Contreras Maldonado. They married on August 13, 1947, where they were wed for 63 years. He retired from the Arizona mining industry in 1993, where he ended his career as a forklift operator at Cyprus Mine. Joe is survived by his children, Martha (Danny) Sanchez, David, Mario, Priscilla Carnahan, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his kind and caring demeanor, outreach for friendship, and love and devotion for his family. The celebration of life for Joe will be at noon on March 21, 2021, at The Elks Lodge of Globe. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
