Jessica Katherine Rivas

Jessica Kathrine Rivas, age 47 of Globe, AZ, passed into Eternity on July 27, 2021. She was born in San Antonio, on September 10, 1973. She is the daughter of Adelina and Jesus Rivas and Birth father Luis Ruiz. Jessica attended early elementary and middle school in San Antonio, at which point her parents moved to Arizona for job opportunities. Jessica began junior high at Globe Jr High, then went on to complete High School at Globe High. Jessica is a member of the Class of 1992. She was involved in band and choir and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She was an 80s kid through and through. She loved her 80’s rock bands and teen popstars like Debbie Gibson and Tiffany. As she got older her taste in music also included her heritage, and she enjoyed mariachi and Tejano music. After graduation, Jessica attended classes at Gila Pueblo, and married James Gibson. During their marriage, they adopted twins Selena and Victoria (Tori). Although they moved on to other relationships they were able to remain cordial for their children. Jessica gained employment at the Apache Gold Casino, where she worked in many positions and ultimately made it to managing supervisor for purchasing. During tenor at Apache Gold, two other daughters were born. Delaine and Sierra-Justine. Jessica loved her daughters and worked hard to make sure they had was necessary to make their little family succeed. Jessica enjoyed watching her girls succeed at their extracurricular activities, watching movies and having family time. Jessica had an amazing crafting gene, likely passed on from our Crafting queen of a grandmother. She did bead work she learned from James’s family during their marriage, amazing braids and hair dos for her girls. She loved to bake. Jessica is preceded in death by her brother George, Maternal and Paternal grandparents. She was also a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jessica is survived by her daughters Selena, Victoria, Delanie, Sierra Justine of Globe. Grandchildren Jaysen Noah-Cole and Theodore Ray. Her Parents Jesus and Adelina Rivas of Globe. Siblings Juliette Rivas of San Antonio, Jesus N Rivas Jr of Gilbert, Jennie Hernandez of San Antonio, George Ruiz (Jennifer), Elsa Gonzalez (Tony), and Erica Orta (Rey) all of San Antonio. Services for Jessica will be Held at Lamont Mortuary Saturday August 7, 2021. Visitation will be from 8am-10am. A short service will be held, then burial immediately after at Globe Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel.

Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 A.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel.
