Jean Humphries

April 15, 1945 — July 6, 2021

Jean Humphries, 76, of Kinder Louisiana went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Pueblo, CO. Jean loved playing bingo, spending time at the casino, cooking, helping others and most of, she loved her family. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her grandchildren, which was one of the reasons Jean has been in Colorado the past year. From 1985 -1995 Jean and her family owned Jeans Catfish Kitchen in Reeves, LA. During this time, she fell in love with car racing and in 1993 became the 1st female to ever become the title holder of Track Champion at Forest Hill Speedway in Forest Hill, LA.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Humphries and fiancé Brad Williams of Casa Grande, AZ; son, Corey Humphries and partner Louis Linscott of Globe, AZ; brothers, Wilbur Richard or Eunice, LA, Joseph and wife Mary Richard of Baker, LA; granddaughter, Meaghan and husband Vincent Coyle of Castle Rock, CO; grandsons, Matthew Janousek and wife Rachael of South Dakota and Jacob Janousek of Colorado Springs, CO.
Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Richard and Willie Mea Guidry; sister, Catherine Guidry; brothers, Johnny Richard, Charles David and Weston Richard; nephews, Blaine David and Louis Guidry Jr
The family would like to thank the following; Lamont Mortuary of Globe AZ, Unique Designs Florist of Sulphur, LA, and Open Door Assembly of God Church in Kinder, LA.
A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at Open Door Assembly of God Church in Kinder. (15320 HWY 165, Kinder, LA.) A reception will follow in the church hall.
