Janice Darlene Kidd

Janice Darlene Kidd, age 67, was born April 24, 1957, in Lindsay, California. She passed away at her home in Miami, AZ on Sunday, January 26th, 2025.

Jan moved to Arizona in 1963 and attended schools in Miami AZ. She met the love of her life, Tom, when she was 15 years old and they got married on December 28, 1974. Together, they lived in Glendale, AZ while Tom was in the service at Luke Airforce Base. They had their first daughter, Valerie, on March 30th, 1979, before moving back to Miami AZ to be close to family. Their second daughter, Stephanie, was born December 10th, 1984.

Jan was a stay-at-home mom who was highly involved in her children's lives, often helping out in the classroom, participating in girl scouts, or taking them to dance classes, recitals, and competitions. When her daughters were older, she spent a few years working at Cobre Valley Community Hospital as a housekeeper, then as a cook.

Jan enjoyed many hobbies, including reading, doing puzzles, and watching movies. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. She was extremely proud of her daughters and grandchildren. She also recently celebrated her 50th Wedding Anniversary to her long-time love and best friend last month.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Kidd, her two daughters, Valerie (John) Carpenter, Stephanie (Russell) Salcido, her five grandchildren, Deianeir (Tristan) Smith, Camille (Damien) Golden, Gavin Kidd, Olivia Salcido, Elliott Salcido, her mother, Robbie Everett, her three brothers, James W. Everett Jr., John Everett, Tim (Sara) Everett.

She was proceeded in death by her father, James W. Everett.

Memorial service to be officiated by Minister Robin Verdugo on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at 2pm at the Church of Christ in Miami.
