GLOBE

Henry Alvin (“Hank”) Reese (93) passed away on March 5, 2025, in Globe, Arizona. He was born on November 14,1931 to William Henry and Margarette Reese in Dublin, Texas. Hank enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in February 1948. He retired from the Air Force on April 1, 1969. At the time of his honorable discharge, he had achieved the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. During his service Hank was a computer programmer/system analyst and was involved in various top-secret operations. His second career was with Wells Fargo where he was a programmer/systems analyst.

Hank's true passion was the great outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and pursued these hobbies into his early 90's. He looked forward to his annual trip to Wheatland, Wyoming where he would walleye fish and tell tall tales with his son-in-law, Steve Sherard and friends, Don Farrier and Brian Artery.

Hank was a “jack of all trades”, an accomplished woodworker, taxidermist and “restoration specialist” of fishing boats. He loved animals, especially his canine companions.

Hank was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Grace Whalen, of Globe, Arizona, son, Wayne Reese of Ft. Collins, Colorado, daughter, Mona Sherard (Steve) of Wheatland, Wyoming, grandsons Jason Cox (Katie) of LaSalle, Colorado and Kevin Cox of Cheyenne, Wyoming, great grandchildren Chloe Cox, Tatum Cox, Addilyn Cox and Jaxon Reese Cox of LaSalle, Colorado.
