Harry "Ty" Chris Fansler

July 12, 1936 — October 19, 2021

Harry Chris (Ty) Fansler was born on July 12, 1936 to Babe and Jim
Fansler in Phoenix Arizona. He spent some of his early years in
Roosevelt where he earned the nickname Ty Cobb because he
spent his time playing baseball. They also lived at the Tonto Creek
Fish Hatchery where he developed strong roots and a deep love
for the rim country. He married Barbara Richardson, the love of his
life, on Sept. 5, 1953 and lived a very happy life until she passed
away in 2004. They had three daughters, Carol Gustafson (Gary),
Debbie Davis (Tommy), Kim Wagner (Jack) and one son Jim
Fansler (Helen). He had nine grandchildren, twenty eight great
grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. His strongest
love and devotion was for his family. He taught us morals, integrity,
compassion and a strong work ethic. His passion was the
outdoors, he loved to camp, hunt, fish and cut wood. Even when
he couldn't do the things he had always done outside he was
happiest to go along with "the boys", his fond reference for Jim,
Tyson, Trenton, Gabriel, and anybody working on that crew or
maybe anyone going on a hunting or camping trip to his favorite
spot at Clay Springs. He was known affectionately to many as "Pa".
he was dad, grandpa, great grandpa and great great grandpa. He
only went to school through the eighth grade but was very
successful in his work experience and career. He worked at
Inspiration Smelter and was promoted to be the youngest
supervisor during that era, he used his welding skills to become a
boilermaker/welder for Schuff Steel and his skills and experience to
become a crusher maintenance supervisor at BHP until he retired.
He told the best stories and had a wonderful sense of humor, he
very rarely ever met a stranger and was always willing to help
someone. He was a very positive influence for so many. He will be
greatly missed by family and friends and all those that had the
pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace, "Pa". Until we meet again.
