Harrison "Shoonie" Polk

Harrison “Shoonie” Polk passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on November 18th, 2021.

He is survived by his five children Jerusha Engelage, Lena Sanders, Harrison A. Polk, Hope Polk, Christopher Polk, and 6 grandchildren, siblings Mary Kindelay, Lilian Logan, Francis Polk, Evalyn Phillips, Samuel Pechuli, and Kathleen Hunter.

Harrison also known as "Shoonie", was born in San Carlos, Arizona on October 13, 1960 to his parent Andy Polk and Elizabeth “Boni” Kinney, predeceased by both his parents and siblings Pascal Gilson, Delbert Polk, and Manuel Polk.

He lived in Arizona until he moved to California in his twenties where he attended college and worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed attending powwows, music and the arts, and time with family and friends. Harrison was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He returned to Arizona shortly before his passing to be with his loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29th, 2021 from 6:00-10:00 A.M. at San Carlos Miracle Church.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 29th, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at San Carlos Miracle Church.

Interment will follow at Northgate Cemetery in San Carlos, AZ.
