Glorianna Nosie was born on March 11, 1942 at Old San Carlos Hospital. She was born to the late Carl Kinney, Sr. and the Late Era Black. She has been at the Heritage Healthcare Center since February 3, 2012 where she passed away. She attended Stewart Indian School. She married Hines Nosie Sr. They were married at the San Carlos Miracle Church by the Late Bishop Samuel Harris. She attended the Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, Arizona. She took a class in Early Child Hood. She completed the class and got her AA degree. Spring round up at Point of Pines, this was before the children came. Glorianna did not want to go until Hines told her there was a Circle K store ther. She became upset to find out there was no Circle K Store there when she arrived. Although she later stayed at Point of Pines to help cook for the cowboys and their families, when supper time came the families would eat together. They would dip their bread in the frying pan and eat together at the same time The two were Cotton pickers in Pima, Arizona. Carl Kinney was told to look for spam cans, so the girls could fix their hair, so they could go out. But the late Era Black found out. The girls were the late Susan Rustin, Rosalita Dewey and Glorianna. She got trapped by her own mother,that she was going out. Together Hines and Glorianna had children, they are Hines Nosie Jr., Jamis Nosie, Hernandez Nosie, Susan Kidd and Allred Nosie along with Fernando and Bernando Nosie who preceded her in death. Glorianna worked for the SCAT Headstart program as a Teacher’s Aide in Gilson Wash, for 22 yearss until she retired. After her retirement she became a seamstress and made her own clothes and camp dresses. In the 60’s Glorianna and Hines had a girls basketball team call the “Lakers” The tow became self-employed in their own home. They would dig and purchase Peridots and sold snow cones. Glorianna and Hines made their home in the Seven Mile Wash District. She will be greatly missed but now she has made her peace with her God. Thank you to each and everyone of you that helped.
