Gladys Phillips

Gladys Delores Phillips, 84, of Globe. AZ went to be with her Lord and Savior on the night of March 18th. She joins her husband Thomas Victor Phillips, parents Leonard Glass and Opal White, and Brothers Gerald and Glenn Glass. She is survived by her daughter Mary (Kenneth) Zeigler, son Allen (Maria) Phillips, and daughter Ladonna Melcher. Along with eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was born in Bridgeport, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Globe-Miami, AZ. She was the co-owner of Tom’s Gila Music with her husband and created many friendships through the business. She was an active member of River of Life Church. She shared her faith with Sunday school students for many years and after she stopped teaching, she never stopped sharing that faith with everyone. She lived her Christian faith by being a devoted wife, loving mother, and exceptional grandmother. Not only was she Grandma to her own grandchildren, but also to all their friends she met throughout the years. A visitation will be held at Lamont Mortuary of Globe on March 27th from 5pm-7pm with a graveside service at 2pm on Saturday March 28th at Globe Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when possible.
