Gibson Dia

Gibson Dia Jr., age 62 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on July 7, 2020 in Glendale, Arizona. He was born in San Carlos, Arizona on March 27, 1958. He was the son of Dorothy (Baker) Casey and Gibson Dia Sr. Gibson attended school at Rice Elementary, Sn Carlos Junior High School and San Carlos High School. He was a framer working construction but was also a seasonal firefighter (Hot Shot). He mined Peridot and enjoyed working on cars. He loved working with his hands. He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Casey and Gibson Dia Sr. He is survived by his children Garrick Dia of Tucson, Derrick Dia of Phoenix, Gibson Dia III of San Carlos, Rayleesa Dia of Texas, Cindy Dia of Holbrook, Elke Moon of Gillooly, Louisiana, his sister Veronica Easchief of Scottsdale, his brothers Joseph Gates of San Carlos, Samuel King of San Carlos, Daniel King of San Carlos and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, Arizona. Graveside Service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at San Carlos Cemetery.
