George “Butch” Trojanovich left this earth on Saturday, August 13th. Butch was born on June 5, 1944 in Phoenix, AZ to Anton “Tony” and Mary Trojanovich.
Butch grew up in Globe, AZ. He spent his young adult life breaking and training horses on the San Carlos Reservation. He then moved on to working for the City Of Globe Water Department. Finally, Butch was hired on with the Arizona Department of Transportation and worked on the Striping Crew. He moved through the ranks with ADOT until he secured the position of Superintendent over the Payson Office. He would eventually transfer to the Roosevelt Office, where he retired after 35 years of service.
Butch was loved by many and known for his love of a good time. He was happy to chat with neighbors, run his tractor and brag about his only granddaughter.
Butch is survived by his longtime companion, Norma Jean Winters, his brother John Trojanovich, daughter Toni (Craig) Bingham, granddaughter Peyton Bingham, Step-daughter Juli (Joe) Ellis, niece Shanna (Jon) Doll, nephew George Trojanovich and many great nieces and nephews.
The services for Butch will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at the Lamont Mortuary in Globe, AZ. The viewing will be held at 10:30, the funeral will start at 11, followed by a graveside service at Claypool Cemetery in Central Heights. The family will be hosting a lunch directly following the graveside service at the Elks Lodge, 1910 E. Maple Street.
