Genevieve Hernandez

Genevieve Hernandez, 81 of Claypool, AZ passed away peacefully on June 23rd surrounded by family and friends. Genevieve was born in Globe, Arizona on November 1, 1942, to Joe Castaneda and Betty McDaniel.

She graduated from Globe High School in 1960. Upon graduation, she began working at Nawfels Frosty Freeze. In 1979, she began a career at Circle K as the assistant manager. In 1989, she decided to leave Circle K to become a stay-at-home Mom.

Jenny was most known for the unconditional love she showed not only to her family but everyone who knew her. She loved reading the Bible, spending time with her family and scrolling through Facebook.

Jenny leaves behind 10 children: George, Alfred, Mike (Dolores), Annarose, Deanna, Anna (Pat), Michele (Bill), Daniel, Georgianna (Aaron) and David. 38 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Jenny is proceeded in death by her husband of 50 years George and daughter Theresa.

Services will be Saturday, August 17th at Lamont Mortuary of Globe. Visitation from 11:00-12:00 followed by a memorial service from 12:00-1:00. Luncheon to follow at Globe Elk’s from 1:00-5:00.
