Elva Anne Powers, 93 of Globe, Arizona went into eternal rest October 17, 2024.
She was born November 10, 1930, in Lewellen, Nebraska to Damon Darrell Michael and Irene Bruce Michael. She married Robert (Bob) Powers on December 31, 1952, in Globe; they were married 63 years, one month. To this union, four children were born: Robert Lynn Powers Jr born in 1953 (wife Karen) residing in North Carolina, Damon Michael (Mike) born in 1957 (wife Nancy) residing in Minneapolis, MN; Brian, born in 1960 (wife Marsha) residing in Beaver, OH; Janelle, born in 1963 residing in Globe.
Bob and Anne moved to Globe in 1989. She enjoyed quilting, going to church, spending time with both her family and the extra “grandkids” that she acquired, and watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Most of all, she loved being around the love of her life, Bob.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by a sister, brother, sister-in-law, all four children and their spouses, two grandsons, three granddaughters, four great granddaughters, and three great grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Anne’s memory to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church located at 750 Paxton Ave., Miami, AZ 85539.
Inurnment will take place at a later time at the Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, South Dakota. Anne was a great wife, loving and supportive mother, grandmother, companion, friend, and cook. She will be sorely missed.
