In Loving Memory of Elsie Jeanne Hamilton Norris, April 28th 1950 – October 23rd, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elsie Jeanne Norris, who left this world on October 23rd, 2023. She was a shining light in our lives, a source of endless love, strength, and wisdom.

Born on April 28th, 1950 in Englewood, California. She moved to Whiteriver, Arizona at the age of two, the daughter of Walter & June Hamilton, owners of Whiteriver Trading Company. She graduated from Alchesay High School, Whiteriver, AZ, and also attended Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher, AZ. Elsie was also a confirmed member of the Whiteriver Lutheran Church.

Elsie leaves behind her husband Frank Norris-Eager, AZ, her daughter Jeanne (Brian) Minson-Queen Creek, AZ, son Keith (Kimberly) Penrod-Mesa, AZ, stepson’s Joe (Lora)-Gilbert, AZ and Jim Norris-Eager, AZ, sister’s Colleen (Jerry) Brownlow-Pinetop-Lakeside, AZ, Christy (deceased) Carl Novobilski-Phoenix, AZ, and brother’s Gary (Pasty) Hamilton-Pinetop-Lakeside, AZ, John Hamilton, Kenner, LA.

She was the grandmother of seven beautiful grandchildren, Meagan, Tanner, Steven, Emily, Brittney, Jeremy, and Rilley (Riley). Plus a great-grandchild Jayden. She leaves behind several nephews and nieces, Brian, Lisa, Tausha, Bobby, and their families along with many cousins and friends. She was also a Godmother to many children.

We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Elsie’s life on November 18th, 2023 at The Church, located in the Old Blue Ridge Elementary School building in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona at 11am. Please come to share your stories, memories, and condolences as we pay tribute to a truly remarkable woman.
